Women Empowerment

"There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish." Michelle Obama
"Woman/ Stri Shakti" has been a figure of worship in our (great) country since the start of civilization. The female is revered in all her different forms - be it daughter, sister, wife, mother, etc. Centuries of cultural changes, invasions led to a change in social structure and the ways in which society operated. Today we're standing at a threshold where a woman needs to be empowered through our actions and our behaviour. While we still worship the female deities in temples it's time we take steps to reinstate them to their original status. Empowerment of women is the key to a better society. A society of empowered women is a dignified, peaceful community where everyone enjoys equality and holistic life. Women empowerment doesn't only refer to their economic empowerment but their political, social economic and health status as well. It is one of the issues covered under the United Nation's Population Fund. Through our project, we intend to initiate such a chain of activities that shall lead to an empowered and sustainable society.
